An upper level storm system was over northern New Mexico Friday afternoon and will push eastward coming closer to the Big Country Saturday. The system could produce some light rain showers late Friday night and Saturday morning but it appears that Saturday afternoon and Saturday night is when the best chance for rain will be in the eastern counties of the KRBC viewing area. Note that a few of the storms could be strong with gusty winds and small hail the primary threats. Temperatures will be near 60 early Saturday morning, 72 Saturday afternoon, 51 Saturday night and 73 on Sunday. Clouds gradually decrease Sunday as the rain slides south and east out of the area.
