Periods of icy weather Thursday, more prevalent afternoon and Thursday night.
A Winter Storm Warning, meaning ice accumulations of a quarter inch to estimated one-half inch, is in effect for the majority of the Big Country, and all eastern counties, from noon Thursday through at least noon Friday.  Temperatures falling from the 30's into the 20's during the course of the day Thursday with periods of freezing rain and sleet.  An upper disturbance will pass over Thursday night into Friday morning leading to our heaviest dumping of sleet and freezing rain causing hazardous driving conditions.  Temperatures on Friday in the middle 20's, to the mid teen Friday night and low to mid 20's on Saturday to 18 Saturday night and hopefully getting back above freezing by a few degrees Sunday.  Icy roads are expected Thursday through Saturday.
