Heat and moisture will combine this weekend to produce isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. As we saw on Friday night, some of the strongers storms will drop some heavy rain, as happened with 2 to 3 inches of rain per hour between Sweetwater and Roby on Friday night. Movement of the showers and storms will be east to west. With an upper low moving through the northern Gulf of Mexico, more moisture will stream into the area Sunday and Monday, so rain stays in the forecast through Monday. Temperatures for the next seven days will be in the low 70's at night and middle 90's during the day.
