From 21 degrees earlier this week, to near 80 this weekend ... never a dull moment !
Abilene's high on Thursday was 63 degrees but expect temperatures to be considerably warmer than that Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Highs are forecast at 74 Friday, 82 Saturday, 80 on Sunday. Overnight lows will be near 45 Thursday night, upper 50's Friday night, near 60 Saturday night, down in the 40's Sunday night. South and southwest wind, gusty at times, helps to bring in the warmth as the colder air stays well north of Texas. After mostly clear skies on Friday, clouds should return on Saturday, and it's possible for an isolated shower or two, but chances now look so slim that I'll simply just mention it and leave the percentage at 10 percent of less. Sun returns on Sunday in advance of our next cold front which will get here Sunday night into Monday. It will drop temperatures roughly 20 degrees so highs on Monday and Tuesday look to be in the low 60's. Rain is not expected with the front.
