An upper level storm system, which was moving into northern Arizona on Thursday evening, will bring a 50 percent chance of rain to the Big Country on Saturday. The rain should be a one day event, consisting of showers but also a few strong thunderstorms will be possible. Temperatures are forecast to be in the low to middle 40's by early Friday morning, in the low 70's Friday afternoon as clouds increase, near 55 on Friday night and near 70 on Saturday. Highs on Saturday will vary based on cloud cover and areas receiving rain. Sunday looks sunny and 75. Monday and Tuesday will feature warming into the low to middle 80's in advance of a strong cold front coming in next Wednesday into Thursday. The system in the middle of next week will also bring a slight chance for rain and thunderstorms.
