Isolated showers will be possible again on Wednesday and Thursday, as plenty of Gulf of Mexico moisture remains in place and afternoon heating helps activate the showers. I'm expecting a high of 90 on Wednesday and 92 on Thursday and Friday. Friday looks to be dry and most of the weekend will be dry, but the occasional small shower could develop this weekend. All eyes turn to the southern Gulf of Mexico this weekend as a tropical system is expected to develop in the Bay of Campeche and move inland somewhere near Brownsville. By Monday, the moisture from the system pushes toward the Big Country bringing a good chance for rain Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. If a front can make it into the Big Country on Monday night or Tuesday, there could be some significant rain. The timing will need to be just right but, as of now, ingredients are coming together for several days of rain in the forecast next week.
