After a chilly start to the day on Friday, the afternoon temperatures will be mild, middle 60's, which is a little below normal for this time of year (70 being normal). Dry weather for the western counties of the Big Country Friday through Sunday even though a few light showers may pass south of the area down in the Concho Valley and Edwards Plateau. Looking ahead to the weekend ... expect nice weather with highs in the low to mid 70's. A strong cold front will move into the area next Tuesday to bring a slight chance for showers and drop temperatures by at least 15 degrees if not more.
