While there remains some rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for the western Big Country through Wednesday night, the best chance of rain stays to the east and south of Abilene. A cold front will sweep into the western Big Country early Thursday morning bringing clear skies and northwest wind 10 to 20. After lows in the upper 50's Thursday morning, highs in the low 70's are expected in the afternoon. For Halloween trick or treat Thursday night, temperatures will be in the 60's early in the evening, falling into the mid 50's by late in the evening under clear skies. Dry weather Thursday through Saturday with our next chance for showers starting late Sunday.
