A cold front at the surface combined with lots of moisture will come together for a good soaking this weekend and early next week. Rain chances will hold off today with highs in the mid to upper 80’s as well as a high muggy feel. Wind speeds will be anywhere between 10 to 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 25. We’ll stay dry through this evening, so if you’re headed off to any football games, no rain gear needed. Rain chances pick up over the weekend, with more isolated activity possible on Saturday. With any storms that do develop tomorrow we could see some small hail as well as gusty winds. The rain becomes more widespread and heavy at times come Sunday. The bulk of the rain comes late Sunday night into Monday morning. Rain will keep temperatures cooler, with highs in the 70’s for the first half of next week. By midweek dry air will filter in with gradual clearing in the forecast.
