Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely today, however it won’t be a wash out for the entire day. The rain will come in rounds, with a break around lunchtime. A cold front begins to move through the Big Country later tonight, reaching Abilene by 7am Tuesday morning, and noon in the Heartland. Most of us will be dry on Wednesday, with some lingering morning showers in the Heartland. Temperatures will be tough to warm throughout the day, with highs being met in the morning hours. Behind the front, cooler and drier air will filter in. Highs on Thursday will be in the upper 60’s with partly cloudy skies.
