There is a lot going on in the weather world this week. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid 70’s with partly cloudy skies. By this evening we’ll call it mostly cloudy and a cold front will be heading south. Cold rain will begin to fall tonight north of I-20 before transitioning over to freezing rain and sleet Thursday afternoon. Chances for winter weather are higher Thursday night into Friday morning, with freezing rain the main threat. Sleet can’t be ruled out either. I am not expecting any snow. Wind chills or what it feels like, will be in the lower teens Thursday afternoon and single digits by Saturday morning. Precipitation chances are lower over the weekend, but temperatures will still be well below freezing. Cold sticks around through at least early next week.
