Strong cold front moves through tonight with rain and cooler air associated with it. Rain begins after sunset along the Texas/Oklahoma border, approaching Abilene around 3am and Brownwood a couple hours later. A line of some sort will develop out ahead of the front and travel southeast overnight, producing heavy rain at times, frequent lightning, and some gusty winds. Severe threat will stay into Oklahoma northward, however, I can’t rule out some very small hail or gusty winds. Behind the front temperatures will be much colder. Highs on Saturday will only be in the upper 60’s to the lower 70’s, all depending on how much sunshine we receive. Full sunshine is in the forecast Sunday with highs in the mid 70’s and lows in the upper 40’s. Highs next week will be in the mid 80’s with lots of sunshine.
