We saw freezing rain, sleet, and light snow throughout West Texas last night, with the main push of winter precipitation over by lunchtime. Cold air will stick around throughout at least the weekend with wind chills in the single digits today and below zero Saturday morning. Which is cold enough to get frost bite, as well as freeze the gas in your car. I can’t rule out any freezing drizzle over the next 24 hours, but overall the weekend will be dry. Sunday will be slightly warmer with highs finally getting above freezing. Winds will be gusting up to 25 miles per hour today and 20 over the weekend. Second cold front moves through Monday, giving us a second dose of cold air. Finally we’ll be in the 50’s by the later half of next week.
