It was a defensive struggle early on Friday night. A turnover would set up the Lions with good field position and a pass from Drew Neece to Lex Faith gave Albany a 7-0 lead.

Hamlin would respond with a Caymon Georges to Matthew Fields touchdown pass a short time later to the game a 7-7.

They would be locked up at 14-14 with just 16 seconds remaining on the clock when Albany knocked in the game winning field goal to take the game 17-14.

With the victory Albany also locked up an out-right district title.
