Less Contact For Wildcats In Fall Camp

95 ACU Wildcats reported to the school on Wednesday night, and that is all that is allowed in Division I, where in Division II you could practice as many as you wanted.
The ACU Wildcats started their journey into NCAA Division I today with the first practice of the 2013 season.

The 95 Wildcats reported to the school on Wednesday night, and that is all that is allowed in Division I, where in Division II you could practice as many as you wanted.

That being the case, head coach Ken Collums says hitting during practice will be limited.

Collums said, "We've just got to play well and take care of our people. We're not very deep. Our approach to fall camp will probably reflect that a little bit. We'll tackle a little bit, but we won't be out there running into each other every single day full spead, but it'll be a lot like an NFL practice I would think. We've got to take care of our people."

John David Baker is the new starting quarterback for the Wildcats. He enters the new season with just 10 pass attempts in his career. The 1st game is August 31st against Concordia College from Alabama.
