Local Businesses Taking Advantage of Abilene's Real Estate Boom

Real estate agents say on average a home is selling more than a month faster than it would have last year.
Abilene's real estate market is at its best.

Real estate agents say on average a home is selling more than a month faster than it would have last year.

Business owners like Karen Mooney and her husband Al think it's a great time to open a business as well.

They first opened their restaurant, Al's Diner in Lawn and have since expanded.

Now they're opening two locations in Abilene and have a goal of opening eight restaurants by next year.

Agents think the anticipated Cline Shale oil boom may be a key reason as to why the demand for homes is higher and say commercial and real estate success go hand in hand.
