LAS VEGAS, N.M. – McMurry University dropped a pair of hard-fought matches at the final day of the New Mexico Highlands Invite.

The War Hawks were pitted against Colorado Mesa University Saturday morning and fell in four sets by scores of 17-25, (25-17), 14-25 and 15-25.

Kelsey Harkins (Elgin Texas/Elgin HS), Taylor Seaton (Big Springs, Texas/Big Springs HS) and Peyton Evans (Riverton, Utah/Western Texas College) each contributed nine kills. Evans also chipped in a team-high 23 digs.

Abby Ney had a match-high 13 kills to lead Mesa (7-1).

McM fell in four sets against Western New Mexico University by scores of 21-25, 22-25, (25-19) and 25-19.

Harkins had a team-high 11 kills and Evans chipped in seven kills to go with 20 assists.
