The McMurry War Hawks are getting ready to play the first game at the newly renovated Wilford Moore Stadium.

The War Hawks have struggled in 2 road games against Division II ACU and F-C-S opponent McNeese State, but now they are getting ready to play at home.

Like Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home."

"It will be good to open the stadium. It will be great to see coach Moore here. This has kind of been a special deal. I'm really proud for our seniors, and the 24 seniors we had last year because they're kind of the guys are the reason we have that stadium." Says Head Coach Hal Mumme.

"I'm pretty excited. The team is especially after going to McNeese and having no cheerleaders, and no band. That was kind of weird, but now being at home, opening a new stadium, the fans are here, and it's going to be a good atmosphere." adds Freshman Paxton Grayer.

McMurry hosts Wayland Baptist at Moore Stadium at 6 on Saturday. The stadium is not quite finished, but they will still have a ribbon cutting before the game.
