Memorial Services Set for Eastland Student Killed in Rollover

17-year-old Joseph Woodall died early Friday morning after being ejected from a pickup truck he was riding in
A memorial service for 17-year-old Joseph Woodall of Eastland has been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Eastland's First Baptist Church.

Woodall, a senior at Eastland High School, was killed when the pickup truck in which he was a passenger rolled over early Friday morning on County Road 454 south of Olden. Woodall was thrown from the vehicle. The driver was not hurt.

A prayer vigil will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at River of Life Church in Eastland.

Eastland ISD released the following statement Friday:

It’s with great sadness that the administration, staff, and students of Eastland ISD have learned about the tragic death of Joseph Woodall. Our sincere sympathy goes out to the family. Procedures are in place to ensure that all faculty, staff, and students affected by this loss are given all the help they need to cope at this time. Eastland ISD is offering counseling and support for students affected by this tragedy. Eastland ISD counselors and counselors from neighboring districts have been called in to aid students in the grieving process. Our thoughts and support are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
