Two men, who lead police on a chase ending in a stand-off, have been sentenced for attempted capitol murder.

Last January, a DPS trooper pulled over a vehicle containing the suspects, Myron McDonald Jr. and Christopher Johnson. As the trooper approached the car, one of the suspects jumped out and fired three shots at the trooper, then jumped back into the car and sped away.

The two lead DPS troopers on a high-speed chase through Mitchell County, allegedly firing shots at the troopers during the chase.

The incident ended when police located the suspects in Colorado City, where a 10-hour stand-off followed.

The men have been sentenced to life in prison and fined $10,000 each.
