Mobile Offshore Learning Unit Gives Students In Abilene A Lesson

Elementary students in Abilene learned a little more about the oil and gas industry. 
Fifth graders at Abilene's Thomas Elementary School got a hands on lesson about energy from the Mobile Offshore Learning Unit.

Its a teaching tool about the oil and gas industry and the organization said it's an important field to teach students about.

MOLU Consultant Michael Nevels said, "The pipeline really starts at this young age. If we don't fill that career pipeline with enough excited kids, then we won't fill those jobs that we have at the end of the pipeline"

This exhibit is geared towards 5th graders and it's based on state and national educational standards.
