Tenaha quarterback Reginald Davis proved to be too much for the Munday Moguls in the Class A Div. II state championship game on Thursday. Tenaha beat Munday, 52-28 for the title.

Davis, a Texas Tech commit, was a dual threat for the Tigers. He threw for 226 yards and 3 touchdowns. He ran for another 242 yards and 2 more touchdowns. He added an 80 yard punt return for a touchdown.

Munday quarterback Dee Paul rushed for 146 yards for 2 scores, and he threw 2 touchdown passes for the Moguls in the loss.

Moguls running back Tyronne Neskorik carried the ball 17 times for 117 yards and 1 touchdown.

Munday finishes the season with a 13-3 record. Tenaha wins a state football championship for the 1st time in school history.
