Revenue from tickets at are an all time high at Abilene Regional Airport and cheaper tickets aren't the only reason for that.
According to the most recent financial reports, revenue from ticket sales at Abilene Regional are about 4 percent higher than last year.
Don Green, director of aviation, attributes that to cheaper tickets that compete with major airports like DFW within the past three months.
Some travelers say they prefer saving on gas and parking as well.
Green says more travelers could entice other airlines to begin offering services at the regional airport.
