Police are looking for a man named Chad King after he ran a stop sign on South Third and Mockingbird around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, causing a collision before fleeing on foot.

According to authorities at the scene, a law enforcement officer recognized King, and that's when he ran through the stop sign and collided with another vehicle.

The impact sent a four-wheeler in the back of King's truck into a fence along the side of the road, also causing the truck to hit another vehicle that was stopped on South Third. The occupant of this vehicle was taken to the hospital for treatment.

After impact, however, King's truck continued down the street as he and a female passenger bailed out and fled on foot.

The female was taken into custody and is being checked out a local hospital, while King is still on the run.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Abilene police.
