Since head coach Steve Warren took over the Eagle football program, he has stressed the importance of the history of the program.

Abilene High continues that theme tomorrow night with The Night Of Champions at Shotwell Stadium.

Former players will be honored, and the coach says the current players need to see the history of the program they represent.

Head Coach Steve Warren said "Well that's always a lot of fun. I think well deserved. Anybody that's played in this program has spent a lot of time up here at this field house and a lot of commitment in a lot of different ways to help make this program what it is today, and we're proud of those guys. We're proud of the commitment they've showed over the years, whether they played in '30s, '40s, '50s, or 2012."

Daniel Wilchie said "It inspires us a lot and that's like 'hey we got to show them that we're tough like they were, and we come out strong and have a good victory like they did when they played."

The Night Of Champions is Friday night at Shotwell Stadium. Abilene High hosts San Angelo Central in a game that kicks at 7:30pm.
