Former Brownwood Lion and current TCU quarterback Casey Pachall will miss the next eight weeks for a broken arm.

Pachall left TCU's home opener Saturday afternoon against Southeastern Louisiana in the second quarter with an arm injury. It was later reported that was in fact a broken forearm, and Pachall could miss some significant time.

Then on Sunday afternoon, the Fort Worth Star Telegram reported Pachall would miss at least eight weeks after having surgery on the arm Saturday night.

That means Trevone Boykin will take over under center for the Horned Frogs. A task the sophomore quarterback undertook a year ago when Pachall left the program to seek treatment for substance abuse.

TCU's next game will be this Thursday night against Texas Tech.
