Attention all pet owners, if you haven't already heard, The Procter and Gamble Company (P&G) sent out a voluntary pet food recall on Wednesday, August 14.
Attention all pet owners, if you haven't already heard, The Procter and Gamble Company (P&G) sent out a voluntary pet food recall on Wednesday, August 14.

The company was concerned that certain brands of their dry food may have been contaminated by salmonella though, at the time of the recall, no reports of poisoning had been made.

It should be noted that P&G has stated that the number of affected bags would make up a very small amount of the overall production (less than 0.1 percent according to the release), so the recall is simply a precaution to make sure no pets are adversely affected.

For a complete list of the brands being recalled, visit the FDA website at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm365154.htm?source=govdelivery.
