School Attendance Decreases As Winter Temperatures Hit Abilene

Local Students Without Coats Are Skipping School Just To Stay Warm
The winter-like temperatures are here and, sadly, for students without coats, the cold is something to fear. Some students aren't even going to school because their morning commute is unbearably cold. Schools are saying that as temperatures decrease so does attendance.

"Communities in Schools" is an organization that is finding a way to keep students warm so that the cold weather doesn't effect their education. They are collecting donations of coats to give out to less fortunate students.
