Many Big Country seniors take time out of their day to help others through volunteering. For one local woman, it meant working through her own health issues. Geneva is an active volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and does a lot of working with Home Instead Senior Care. One way she helps is by making quilts to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research. When she developed cancer, it put the progress of her quilt on hold for nearly 5 years. However, she fought through with the goal of helping others on her mind. KTAB’s Natalie Ferrari has her courageous story.
