Short Week Not A Problem For Stamford

The Stamford Bulldogs play their state championship game on Thursday at noon at Cowboys Stadium.

Thursday games are unusual this late in the season, and that means preparation time is cut from 4 days to 2.

Stamford head coach Wayne Hutchinson isn't concerned about the short week. As a matter of fact, he believes is more of a problem for his opponent, top ranked Mason, than for his guys.

Hutchinson said, "I think it's advantage for us. Being a spread offense  we've seen just about every kind of front you could possibly see. It's going to difficult for them to prepare for a spread offense that throws the ball around. They line up foot to foot and get after you. They run a power "smash mouth" type football game. We're going to have to be ready in that aspect of the football game, too."

Stamford against Mason looks like a great match up. The Bulldogs and the Mason Punchers kick off at noon on Thursday at Cowboys Stadium.
