The Snyder Tigers picked up a much needed win over Sweetwater on Friday, but did not get the help needed to make the playoffs.

The Tigers jumped out an early lead in the first inning, and a base hit by Christian Fletcher would drive home another run for Snyder. That was just one of the Tigers three runs in the top of the first.

Sweetwater would get one of those runs back in the bottom of the first.

Then the Tigers would get back to work. A double to center field by Skillett Rhinehart in the top of the second would drive home two more runs for the Tigers and extend their lead to 5-1.

Snyder would go on to defeat the Mustangs by the score of 11-5.

At the same time, Wylie was unable to defeat the Big Spring Steers in Big Spring.

Not only did that guarantee a shared district title between Wylie and Sweetwater. It also meant the Tigers would miss the playoffs because they lost both meetings with the Steers.
