Snyder Tigers Staying Hungry

The Snyder Tigers are this year's hard luck kids at this point.

They lost in Week 0 to Amarillo Caprock, 28-27, and turned around and lost to Lubbock Cooper, 32-31.

A pair of 1 point losses could make a team feel like they can't get a break, but the Tigers are taking it in stride as they get ready to face Brownwood Friday night at Gordon Wood Stadium.

"We've just got to do a better job of executing. Again, it's non-district games and really it's kind of worked out good. I definitely don't like losing, but at least they're close competitive games. I think we can definetely build from those," said head coach Aubrey Sims.

"I think we're very hungry to get that first win. So, our practices have been very tense, and we've been going hard, trying to get better. Trying to get that first win," said Guilermo Rodriguez.

"Later on in the season I think it's going to help us learn how to win those close games at the end and really just pull them out. I think those losses were actually good for us as a team. To be working harder then we would be with those two wins under our belts," said Skillet Rinehart.

The Tigers and the Brownwood Lions meet in 2 days in Brownwood. That game will get started at the universal start time of 7:30.
