Son of Shooter Who Killed Former Brownwood Sheriff's Deputy Calls in Threats, Upton County Schools on Lock-down

Upton County is reporting that all schools in McCamey have been placed on lock-down due to a threat from a man claiming to be seeking revenge for his father.

Upton County is reporting that all schools in McCamey have been placed on lockdown.

Reportedly, the County Courthouse ordered the lock-down for McCamey ISD after receiving calls from the son of Gary David Green, the man who shot and killed Deputy Billy Kennedy on Wednesday night.

Deputy Kennedy was a former Sheriff’s Deputy in Brown County.

Precaution is being taken because the caller reported Green’s son was on his way to McCamey to reportedly get revenge for his father, Gary David Green, who was injured in Wednesday’s shootout, and is now in custody.
