Sweetwater's Slaughter Leaves Mustangs, Headed to Llano

The Sweetwater Mustangs are in the market for a new athletic coordinator and head football coach.
The Sweetwater Mustangs are in the market for a new athletic coordinator and head football coach.

Head Coach Craig Slaughter announced to his players today that he was leaving Sweetwater to take the same job at Llano high school.

In 3 years with the Mustangs, Slaughter was never able to get Sweetwater into the playoffs.

David Robinett spoke with Slaughter via phone earlier today and Slaughter said, he wanted to get out in front of the news and he notified the kids on monday afternoon.

He also said that he appreciated all the support he recieved during his time in Sweetwater, he said it was amazing and that Sweetwater was a great program, and he only wished they had more success during his time with the Mustangs.
