The ACU offense is leading the country with 196 points this season.
Receiver Taylor Gabriel was the primary target on Saturday against New Mexico Highlands. He caught 9 passes for 160 yards for 3 touchdowns. It was a good day for Gabriel and the Wildcats.
"I feel like I missed out on the 1st 2 games," Gabriel said. "In the 3rd game, I was going into the game saying I've got to get in the end zone, so it felt pretty good."
"Hopefully, that is more to come. It's kind of a precursor to the rest of the season," Head Coach Ken Collums said. "I don't know that he'll run wild and do all that every game, but he's definitely a guy where we are going to win match ups. People single him up, if we can protect the quarterback, get him the ball different ways, we ought to be fine."
