Technology Threatens a Popular Family Business

Just a few years after a family restores the city's only movie theater, they may be forced to shut it down.
The Monroe family is about to celebrate six years of owning the Palace theater, Colorado City's only movie theater.

However, now, they may have to shut it down.

Every theater, including theirs, must upgrade from using 35mm movies to digital.

That conversion will cost them almost $80,000.

They have until Dec. to get the money and are planning on holding several fundraisers to get what they need.
