King Manor Apartments in Ranger have had no water for a month and tenants are saying that the wait to get the problem fixed is too long.
"I'm so tired of being without hot water," resident Marla Clark said. "We're living like animals not being able to go to work nice and clean."
Clark has been living for the complex for a year and say that she's never had any major issues. Late last month, there was a water leak in the apartment. The problem was fixed but since then, there's been no hot water flowing through the pipes.
"I have to travel 12 to 13 miles to my mother's house just to get a hot shower," resident Christopher Rowe said.
According to some residents, management hasn't given them a direct answer as to when there will be a solution.
"We get the run around with no clear answer," Clark adds.
She says she's approached the management team several times before. The manager did say that they're waiting for a new boiler to replace the old one. They add that there's not much maintenance can do until they have the parts to fix the issue. In addition, the manager tells Clark that she responds to any complaints or concerns from residents immediately, but is waiting for upper management to provide equipment.
On the other hand, the supervisor claims that she was not notified of situations on time, according to Clark.
"Whatever it is, I'm just sick of it," exclaims Clark.
For the meantime, tenants have to boil water in order to do everyday tasks such as cleaning dishes and taking a shower.
The supervisor tells KTAB that they will have a new boiler by this week. She says there's been shipment delays and that they are resolving the problem.
