It's State Tournament time for the Stamford Bulldogs. Will the third time be a charm? Two wins. That's all they need. Game one against the Dodd City Hornets.
It's State Tournament time for the Stamford Bulldogs. Will the third time be a charm? Two wins. That's all they need. Game one against the Dodd City Hornets.

So lets head to Dell Diamond in Round Rock. 

We are scoreless in the bottom of the second.  Runners on second and third, Blake Barnett with the grounder back to the pitcher, Gus West gets caught in pickle on third. Dodd City gets out of inning.

To the top of the 3rd,  Kyle Barnett gets Connor Reed swinging, Barnett with a great day on the mound, only allowing 6 hits, 1 error, and pitched a compete game.

In the 4th, Stamford putting their first run due to sac fly. Jessie Ramos with a base hit through the legs of the second baseman, that scores Bo Wimberley, and it's 2-0. The Bulldogs end the inning with a 3-0 lead

To the bottom of the 6th. Austin Alvarado with a hit to right field. That scores Jessie Ramos to make it 4-1.

And the Bulldogs hold their lead and win 4-1. They head to the Championship Game against Fayetteville Thursday Morning at 9am.
