An early lead by the Snyder Tigers helped them pick up another win over the Wylie Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Earlier in the season the Tigers handed Wylie their first district loss in Snyder. In the first inning it appeared they were poised to do the same thing at Bulldog Field.

One run crossed with a bases loaded walk, but Sterling Bristow was able to get out of the inning with a strike-out.

Snyder's Taylor Munkres also came ready to deal from the mound. He opened the inning with a strikeout of Wylie's Garrett Martin. After a double a short time later, Munkres was able to keep the Bulldogs off the board.

In the top half of the second inning Brenon Rhodes drove home two runs with a shot down the left field line. That pushed the Tiger lead to 3-0.

The Bulldogs would rally later in the game and tie the score at 4-4 heading to the top of the seventh inning.

Snyder would tack on three runs in their final at-bat, and hold on for a 7-4 victory.

The Tigers improved to 4-4 in the district. At the same time, the Bulldogs fell to 6-2, and second in the district.
