5)Albany vs. RoscoeGet used to this. The top game of the week of August 27th involves Abilene High. The Eagles are headed south to take on Belton in the Dave Campbell's Texas Football Classic. The Eagles game with Belton is set for the Alamodome. That means they return to scene of their 1st state championship in 53 years. Belton features one of the top quarterbacks in the state in David Ash� Ash is headed Texas after throwing for almost 2,000 yards in 2009.
Week zero also features a game in Class 3A between 2 teams projected to make the playoffs in 2010. The Brownwood Lions travel down to Gatesville to take on the Hornets. The Lions and their 18 returning starters are favored to win District 5-3A, and they start the season ranked number 2 in the state. Gatesville is picked 2nd in District 19-3A behind Aaco LaVega�
Top game number 3 is a rematch of last year's bi-district battle between the Roscoe Plowboys and the Albany Lions. Albany won that game 28-to-7 behind the running of Elijah Hudson� Hudson is gone, but the Lions are picked to win District 4-A in Division 1. The Plowboys and new head coach Jonathan Haseloff are picked 2nd in District 7A in Division 2�
