Tough District Prepares Loboes For Playoffs

The Cisco Loboes are 1 of 4 Big Country teams still alive in the Class 2A postseason.
The Cisco Loboes are 1 of 4 Big Country teams still alive in the Class 2A postseason.

The Loboes finished 2nd in their district this year and advanced to the Area round with a Bi-district series victory over Bowie last week.

The district season and the playoffs have been a real test for head coach Mark Adams, and he says that is what makes his Loboes playoff ready.

Our kids are pretty well trained from the battle we took in district to stick in there and play a full seven innings, and try to pull out a victory," said head coach Adams.

"As we moved into district, as the year went on, and into playoffs all of our games have been real close. Bowie's a really good team, they tested use, and we pulled through," said Colten Gayle.

"We all know we're going to have close games at the end of the year. We all know that we're going to have to fight. We're all going to have to come together and push through it. We're going to have learn to execute plays and not make errors. Try our best," said Mason Reed.

The Loboes continue the playoffs on Friday against Bangs. Game 1 is in Leander because Cisco has 1 player competing in the State Track Meet. Game 2 is Saturday night at 6 at McMurry.
