TxDOT Seeks Public Input on Long-term Transportation Solutions

In an effort to address long-term, statewide transportation needs, the Texas Department of Transportation will host the first in a series of meetings to gather public input to help shape the Texas Transportation Plan 2040.

In an effort to address long-term, statewide transportation needs, the Texas Department of Transportation will host the first in a series of meetings to gather public input to help shape the Texas Transportation Plan 2040.

The TTP 2040 will define TxDOT’s long-range goals, priorities and resource allocation for multiple transportation modes, including roadways, transit, freight, and pedestrian and bicycle travel.

The plan also will address the state’s aging infrastructure and growing population.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Abilene Center for Contemporary Artslocated at 220 Cypress Street,
