War Hawks and Eagles Settle for 1-1 Tie

ABILENE, Texas – Aleria Luna (Duncanville, Texas/ Duncanville HS) converted a penalty kick at the 62-minute mark of the second half and the McMurry University women's soccer team salvaged a 1-1 tie against Heartland Conference foe Oklahoma Christian University Monday afternoon at Wilford Moore Stadium.

ABILENE, Texas – Aleria Luna (Duncanville, Texas/ Duncanville HS) converted a penalty kick at the 62-minute mark of the second half and the McMurry University women's soccer team salvaged a 1-1 tie against Heartland Conference foe Oklahoma Christian University Monday afternoon at Wilford Moore Stadium.

Bermudez Delgado scored at the 13-minute mark in the first half to put the Eagles (2-6-2, 0-1-1 Heartland) up 1-0.

Holiday Williams (Bedford, Texas/LD Bell HS) nearly scored with two minutes remaining in the second overtime, but OCU goalkeeper Lindsey Williams was able to deflect the ball wide.

Goalkeeper Anissa Arenas (Lubbock, Texas/Coronado HS) played the entire 110 minutes and made five saves.

McM (3-4-1, 0-1-1 Heartland) returns to action Saturday at Newman Univers
