With a lasting drought in west Texas, the water treatment plant has been discussing how to reuse as much water as possible.
A discussion was recently held at a City Council meeting on how to overcome not having enough water. They passed a notice of intent notifying the public and stockholders the water treatment plants will need to use 65 million dollars for a three step program in repairing and adding a new advance waste water treatment. The new advanced waste water treatment won’t be implemented until 2014. In order to pay for the construction, customers will see an increase in their water bills between six and seven dollars.
