The Comptroller Wednesday morning released the details of their August payments to Texas cities reflecting July sales.
The state agency reimbursed almost $3.2 million to the city of Abilene, that's less than one percent less than the sales tax rebate in August of 2012.
Brownwood received almost 462,000 in their share of the sales taxes collected there.
That's a fraction of one percent less than their sales tax rebate in August of last year.
The state agency sent the city of Sweetwater almost $267,000. That's about 11 percent less than last year.
The August rebate includes the tax-free weekend for back-to-school shopping.
