City officials are proposing a $1 admission increase. The Abilene Zoological Association voted to raise the cost last month, and they are asking the city council to go along with it.
City officials say it would bring in almost $130,000 per year, and the money would go for taking care of the animals.
The issue is on the agenda for the next meeting of the city council.
The increase would go to $6 for adults and $3.50 for children.
