Clyde getting ready to take on Coleman in pool
play. It would be the Bluecats that would strike-first though with a
touchdown to give them a 7-0 lead.
The Bulldogs would answer
with a touchdown of their own, but wouldn't convert on the extra point.
Coleman would go on to win it 26-24.
Up next - Snyder taking on Levelland, and it's the Lobos that find the endzone first after halftime.
Tigers would answer though with a long touchdown. that would give
Snyder a brief lead, but Levelland would pull out a 20-19 victory.
Another close one followed on the grass in Snyder. Eastland
taking on Ballinger and the Mavericks punch it in for the first
touchdown of the game. The Eastland defense was clicking early but the
Bearcats would get the one point victory by the count of 34-33.
Then back in Tiger Stadium. Merkel taking on Lubbock Cooper
and the Badgers get an interception to start the second half. A short
time later they turn that into a long touchdown pass. But it would be
the Pirates pulling out the 25-20 victory.
Wylie looking to move onto the state tournament in the semifinals
against Slaton and the Bulldogs take control in the first half with a
touchdown to take a 13 to nothing lead. Then just before the break - the
Tigers trying to get something going but the Bulldogs shut them
out. Wylie wwould win the game 27-0.
Meanwhile on the other side of Tiger Stadium. Coleman
taking on Levelland for a trip to state. The Bluecats already have the
lead in the second half and they add to it with this touchdown.
Levelland would respond a short time later with a score of their own,
but just too much from the Bluecats this afternoon. They win it and are
on their way to Round Rock with a 33-18 victory.
