The Wylie Bulldogs improved to 2-2 on the season and picked up a win over familiar foe Brownwood on Friday night in their homecoming game.

The Bulldogs marched down the field on their first drive primarily with the running game, but found the endzone with a Blake Frampton to Austin Rains touchdown pass. That gave the Bulldogs an early 7-0 lead.

Brownwood would threaten after a long drive later in the first quarter but a run by Braxton Kilgo was stopped inside the Wylie five yard line. The Lions would settle for a field goal to get on the board.

Later in the second quarter, the Bulldogs would string together a long drive with runs by Hayden Lewis and Frampton. In the end it was Tye Calhoun that found the endzone and gave the Bulldogs a 14-3 lead.

Wylie would go on to pick up the 38-16 win over Brownwood on homecoming at Bulldog Stadium.
