I'm forecasting a return to winter weather conditions as early as Saturday night but mainly on Sunday in the Big Country.  An upper level disturbance will move across the Big Country Sunday and cause preciptitation.  Due to colder temperatures aloft, and at the ground, a mixed bag of weather could result Sunday .. snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain.  The counties most likely to see snow will be across the north .. Haskell, Stonewall and Throckmorton.  A swath of counties from Snyder and Colorado City through Sweetwater, Abilene, to Breckenridge and Eastland could see sleet or freezing rain with snow mixed.  South of Abilene a mix of rain and sleet or freezing rain.  Amounts should be mostly light, but it doesn't take much to worsen road conditions.  Temperatures on Sunday are forecast to be around 32 when the day starts and same for the afternoon.  The long range forecast is for highs in the 40's and mostly dry Monday, showers in the area once again Tuesday with a high near 60 then turning sharply colder on Wednesday with highs falling into the 30's.  From next Wednesday through next weekend, a prolonged period of low temperatures in the teens or 20's and highs around freezing.  Plus, models are already advertising winter precipitation again at the end of NEXT week.
