Hot and dry is your forecast through Saturday but some cooling and hopefully some showers possible by Sunday into Monday. High pressure regains control of our weather. There is going to be a front approach the Red River Wednesday but it isn't expected to help out and not get past the river. Tuesday's high is forecast to be 99, Wednesday 100, 101 Thursday, 102 Friday and Saturday. Overnight lows in the middle 70's. The change is Sunday when an upper level low is forecast to move across Texas from the East. That cools temperatures and brings at least a few shower chances. In the tropics is Tropical Storm Chantal which should approach Florida by Friday or Saturday as a weak tropical storm. The American GFS model actually turns Chantal westward into the Gulf of Mexico early to mid-week next week. It is Much Too Early to say if this scenario may play out, but makes tropical systems interesting to watch.
